Newborn Lifestyle Photo Sessions
A lifestyle newborn photo session is a great way to capture life in your home and document the natural, candid moments with your newborn. The session typically takes place in your living room, nursery and master bedroom. These sessions are done in the comfort of a client’s home typically within 14 days after their baby is born. They last about 2.5-3 hours to allow time to feed and change the baby. For those clients who would like a photo of their newborn in a basket with a backdrop, no need for a studio session. I can bring a few prop and backdrop to set up after the lifestyle session. Newborn Lifestyle photography requires experience, newborn safety, and beautiful lighting and with over 16 years of experience, you can rest assured your in good hands.
How Do I prepare:
Before your session I will come to your home and we can walk around and figure out the best locations for your photos. It will also give us a chance to meet and get to know each other. I will provide you with a prep guide on how to prepare for your session. Including helpful tips for for prepping the house to clear clutter, keeping the house warm so you have a happy sleepy baby and ways to prep the family and the baby.
How do I book?
Through the contact page on my website or by phone. From there we set up a phone call and discuss the due date as well as the fun details of your upcoming newborn session. I then either go to clients home or have the client send me photos of their home so I can see the space and lighting. Don’t worry if the house is a mess, you are about to have a baby ! Once the contract is signed and the deposit is received, the session is booked. When your new baby arrives, reach out to me to set the date and time of the session.
What do I wear?
I have created a wardrobe style guide to help you get the most out of your photos. Included in the guide are tips for choosing colors, styling clothing, and how to prep the whole family. If there is a color theme, I can bring additional props and newborn baby wraps and swaddles to match.
How do I get my photos?
Two weeks after the photo session, you will receive an email with a link to your private online gallery where you can view and download edited digital files. You can also order photo prints and keepsake books directly from the photo gallery.
